Michelle Ellison - Vice Chairperson

I have sung with the Ospreys Supporters Choir sopranos since about 2012. My hubby Ashley (tenor) sang with the choir first during the S4C Codi Canu series. Then I joined Ospreys Choir with a group of singing pals from Alawon Tawe choir. We were tempted to join because there were no auditions and we had heard that the OSC choristers were a good bunch of people.

OSC are indeed a sociable choir who offer good fellowship and enjoy plenty of ‘craic’ but we never lose sight of the singing. Highlights during my time with OSC are singing at Wales Rugby Internationals at the Millenium /Principality stadium, an unforgettable tour to Belgium where we sang with choirs at the Menin Gate and Hedd Wyn's burial place and performing on the small stage (in the foyer) at the Cardiff Millenium Theatre. So we can make a good sound.

Give us a try - and maybe bring along your other half too! I can recommend it.

Ian Roberts - Treasurer

Ian retired (early!) in October 2010.  He has been the choir's Treasurer since its inception in 2006.  After singing in choirs for over 40 years as a bass, he discovered (without surgery!) that he was a tenor.  He has had a new lease of life vocally, singing in this more cultured section.

He is interested in all sports and all types of music particularly Musicals.

He is very involved with the Urdd and is Treasurer of the County and Chairman of the Morriston district and was one of the honorary presidents for the Swansea Urdd Eisteddfod in 2011. He has taught folk dancing for the last 35 years and adjudicates at National Level.

He lives in Llangyfelach with his wife Mair.
